Contact a Realtor: Searches for houses through ads or the internet are great, but a Realtor has up-to-date information that can be unavailable to the general public. Choose a Realtor who is Committed to Forming a Strong Business Relationship with You: Choose a Realtor that is dedicated to serving your needs-before, during and after the sale. Consider Long-Term Needs: Will the home suit your needs in 3-5 years from now? Purchase Adequate Insurance: An insurance agent can answer many questions that you may have. Buy a Home Protection Plan: This is essentially a mini insurance policy that lasts one year from closing. These are just a few tips that are nice to know before hand.
